What was that like?”She ran a hand through her hair and sighed. “Oh, I’ve been alright… Managed to fill a few gaps in my memories.” She paused, shaking her head. “That’s not really important, though. What have you been up to?”She nodded a bit, absentmindedly playing with the ribbon that lined the sleeve of her dress. “Oh?”“I’m doing just fine, yourself?”“Oh.” Alice smiled brightly. “hello there!”
David smiled back at Alice. “How you doing?”
“Just dandy.” He replied before shrugging slightly. “Haven’t been on the grid in a while.”
One of his eyebrows rose up for a moment before going back down. “Right so how have you been? Haven’t seen you in a couple month maybe even a year.”
“Bit of this and that.” David replied ignoring the part she said about memory. “Worked at a bar for a bit for the case that made me be off the grid.”
“It was like working at Disneyland.” He replied smiling and giving two thumbs up. “I got to work at a place where I can drink on the job and flirt without reprimand.” Was a bit of a flirt, and a bit of a drinker but usually hid it within tea.
He all but sighed when she seemed to ignore his change of subject before he smiled at her. “Could go to The Teahouse.”...
